Amelie really is an extraordinary film. As I've probably written before, my face literally hurt from smiling so much when I left the theater. Like you, I found the simple small pleasures of life carried a renewed significance after I watched Amelie skipping stones. For me, it's involved spending a lot more time with my pets. There's something about just sitting, reading a book and petting a gloriously fat rabbit that can't be beat.
