deathpixieMy boss likes to spring things on me. Yesterday, during the ten minutes I actually got for lunch (don't even ask about yesterday, I'm trying to supress the trauma), he tells me there's this work dinner on tonight (being Thursday) and that I'm going. I blink at him, shrug, and say "Okay."
Except tonight I was going to ring my RaphieSis and see how she is. *grrs* Stupid work. Stupid Supreme Court Judges. I'll have to rain check until tomorrow and I hate doing that.
Still, on the bright side, the dinner is at the Brown Brothers Winery, one of the best in the region. I'm pretty sure even some of you o/seas people have seen a Brown Brothers wine in your local bottle sop. ;) So that makes the whole thinga bit more bearable. That and the fact it gives me an excuse to wear my favourite dress and watch people's eyes pop out. ;)

darkmark if you dare complain about people not reading your fic for at least three months after the CBFFAs, I will personally come over there and bap you. *grins* Pipped me to the post with "Best Story/Series Other Company", he did. And scored another couple of Creative Licences today. Congrats mate. *grins* I'll have to get cracking and write a few things this year that will give you a run for your money. ;)
