Something I haven't done for a while...

deathpixieI'm not sure when or why I stopped the gratitude journal posts. But I was reminded about them today and I decided I was in the mood for one. So, without further ado...
Things I'm grateful for...
1) Resolution, of a kind. The final separation. Because now we can both get back to living our lives, instead of leeching off each other.
2) The new icon Cynjen let me use. It reminds me of the sky here, which is probably the thing I'll miss most moving back to the city eventually. Endless blue sky like a huge upturned bowl.
3) My job-hunting assistant, Amanda Sichter. She found me a position in Melbourne working for the Department of Public Prosecutions that sounds much better than what I'm doing now. And pays $10,000 a year more. I've got the job specs, just need to write the application this weekend. *eeps*
4) My friends. Seriously, I wouldn't have gotten through the past few weeks without you guys, and knowing you're there makes things so much more easier.
5) My Mum and Dad, for letting the GASPers invade their house for the evening, and for the wonderful hospitality they showed. Nine women - nine noisy women - are a bit daunting, and I'm forever grateful for the gesture.
Hmm, time to get up. I need to find out when BRM is coming down tomorrow to move into his new abode - from the brief phone message I got last night, he seems to have pulled himself together enough to go back to teaching, but we'll see. He's coming here to pick up stuff, which means I might as well postpone to symbolic cleaning to afterwards, since it makes more sense that way. Less stuff to move. And I have grocery shopping and Mother's Day gift shopping and stuff of my own to do, and I should get up and do it.
