Slowly going nuts...
Jul. 11th, 2002 01:12 pmIt's not just the itching. I've got plenty of calomine lotion, and some medicated stuff for the bath. But it's not just itching - my skin is burning, and I look terrible, to the point where I hate to look in the mirror to put on the calomine. The thought of food makes me want to throw up (thank God for fresh squeezed mandarin juice!), I'm taking paracetamol twice a day to keep the temperature down and to stop my joints from aching, and I'm just sick of this whole chickenpox deal. Even the shower hurts, and I get dizzy if the water is above luke warm. And I had to cancel my farewell dinner on Friday because the sight of me would put anyone off their food.
I wish I could just peel my skin off entirely and grow a new one.
Okay, enough whinging. Thanks for the well wishes and all, folks. And I got my birthday prezzie from Raph yesterday, and that was a welcome giggle. *grins* Yes, mate, I will bring it to Dexcon. Need to make myself visible in the hotel lobby, after all.
Ugh, ten past one and I haven't eaten yet. Time to see if I can find anything my stomach can handle. And you lot don't need me feeling sorry for myself.
