And it's a stinker today, folks - I'm not sure of what the temperature is out there at the moment, but it was hot last night, and I worked up quite a sweat riding in. So yeah, definitely with the light clothing and the lots of water, especially considering I got sunburnt yesterday and I'm radiating heat. I keep forgetting I'm not in the Northern 'Sphere any more and the sun has actual bite.
I woke up in the wee small hours when my breadmaker started - I knew there was a reason why I never used to let it run overnight. Damn thing makes quite the racket. And I was hot and uncomfortable, which lead naturally to panicky thoughts about money. *grins* Yeah, absolutely no connection, but that's the way my brain works. Make me uncomfortable one way and I'll compound it. So I opened a couple of windows, closed the bedroom door to cut the bread maker noise, and told myself that all I needed to do was check my account balance today so I know how much (or little) I have to live on for the next week and a bit. Payday's Thursday after next, and not a moment too soon.
*shakes self*
All part of the general nervousness - I have that job interview today, and it's making me a bit twitchy. And the general annoyances involved with getting into work today didn't help - Cecil was playing up, traffic was stupid, and the service lift has been locked down so I had to use the front lifts and skid around on the tiles in my cleats. Grr.
Hmm, maybe getting stuck into some work wil help. And Amanda's email needs answering. *chees* I love getting lovely chatty emails first thing when I get to work...
