Apparently Australia is illegal...

No, this isn't about the Iraq war (or Strike, or Crisis, or Intervention or any of the other words being bandied around by the media), but a rather amusing piece of mail we got at the court this morning.
It was a notice to Cease and Desist all legal and enforcement actions against a particular individual (notice written by the individual), on the grounds that since the Australian government and legal systems are based on the British, and there is apparently a UN convention along the lines of no country shall enact another country's laws - as a result of this, the Australian Government is illegal.
And the thing that prompted all this? A ticket for having an obscured number plate on his car. I feel sorry for the police who intercepted him - this guy seems the type to be able to rant for long hours at a time without pause.
I left it with one of the managers, mainly because I was laughing too much to deal with it.
Still, it's interesting in light of recent actions, and my opinion of the current government. Sorry Johnny, you've been declared illegal. Cease and desist all actions, please.

All your laws are belong to us...

I wonder if that means it's also legal for an Australian to shoot a Scotsman inside the city walls of York, provided it's with a bow-and-arrow and done on a Sunday?
