Help I've fallen and I can't get up...

...mainly because someone was sitting on me. *grins*
Mat work at training tonight. No, we didn't find a radom Matt and beat him to death, we set out the aikido club's mats (we arranged to borrow them sometimes) and practiced falls, rolls and throws. And some grappling type stuff.
Can I just say I miss the padding on my arse? After a series of falls (which I don't do so well) and somersaults and shoulder rolls (which I do much better), there's going to be a nice collection of bruises on my lower back/upper butt, where the pelvic bones jut. After the weight loss of last year, I'm realising how much that actually served to cushion me when I did this stuff.
So very tired now - thank goodness there was curry left over from last night.
Speaking of which...
yasminm, did you make it home okay? No updates in your LJ, as far as I can see, since then, so... just asking. *grins* We opened (and finished off) the bottle of fizzy white that the process server gave me as a farewell gift from Melbourne Magi's, and had a vedry pleasant day/evening. :) And might I say, Yasmin's food is great. Lucky me has leftovers for lunch tomorrow. :)
Finished my first job application today, the CDPP one. The job's almost identical to the one I missed out on last year because of Walkabout, only at a lower level. The pay's still $4000 more than I get now, but. So hopefully I'll get it done and in by tomorrow afternoon.
Hmm, that's pretty much it. Work was dull, as usual, the only excitement (and not of the good kind) being the woman with 141 fines. She'd put in an application to have them all revoked, which meant I had to check each one individually. Silly woman left her car with her son for three years and this is the result.
I hate how cynical this job makes me sometimes. Why not lend your car to your child? Because, unfortunately, I see stuff like this where that generosity is taken advantage of to a horrible degree.
That's it for me - too tired to think. Time to curl up on the couch watching the Andrew Denton show in my pajamas with the cherubs on them. And maybe some hot chocolate would go down well too.
