Things that make you go "Woah."

This is strange. I found in my inbox an email from an online publishing group called Indipen, letting me know about their service. Somehow they had the idea I was a published writer, which was nice, if not a little odd. I'm curious to know where they got my addy from - maybe through here, maybe one of the fic sites, I have no idea. Still, it's one to add to the list of resources: they require a resume of published work, and I sort of need to _get_ published first. ;) Of course, it could be just one of those spammy deals, although it was addressed personally. *shrugs* I mailed them back, saying thank you, and I'll be seeing you when I have a resume, as well as asking how they found me. We'll see if they answer.

It's been a good day today, despite the fact I spent most of it online, wasting a rather nice day. I'm going to have to watch that temptation to sit on my bum and Net during my time off; I'll turn into a mouse potato before I know it. ;) I seriously need to find a decent karate club here. Apart from that three hour session with the Biffo Boys, I haven't trained for six or seven weeks. Gak. But a karate school that takes pride in large amounts of blood being spilled during gradings just doesn't jingle my bells. :P

Ann Latimer has offered to do a Rossi chibi. I was so excited to get her note - there are _no_ drawings of my avatar anywhere on the Net; I guess she's not exciting artistically enough. ;P (But the AOA Death Pixie would be cute) So hopefully the task won't prove too onerous - I'd love to be able to have a picture to use on things like this and my Ezyboard ID. *bounces* I also got a nifty little email from Zil!, asking to join the House crew, which is fine by me. She's been going through my stories, much in the same way I went through Seraph's when I joined. Poor girl - I'm slightly more prolific than the LazyAussieAngel. *grins and waves to Raph* Funny how things go in cycles. Guess I'm not a newbie any more.

*pouts* Still no more feedback on "Suffer". Just from Dark Mark and luba, which is great, but... And I thought this chapter was rather better than the last one. Still, mustn't complain, especially when there's I-Know-What coming up. *grins secretively*

Hi Rossi, I stumbled upon here and saw what you wrote about Indipen. Funny thing, I got an e-mail from them too. The guy must definitely be looking around fic sites. :) Not sure I trust the service (I took a look at the publications listed there, not my thing), but maybe it's good after all. who knows.

Ooo! More fresh meat! :) Seriously, I'm always happy when the House attracts a new writer or two -- wouldn't want it to get stale, huh? Hope you don't mind my letting in IndiJ, Kym, and Hush -- I should have checked first, I tend to just handle 'em as they hit me. I hope you approve. They're all great gals and fun writers, no problems or politics there at all. :)
