Good morning all. :) Time for some more answers, which, since I’m an egotistical little person, I’m doing as posts instead of replies, so you all can see what my answers are. *grins* Besides, it means I don’t have to write “real” posts.

To be nice, I am using the cutaways. And hey, they're even working.

Questions from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]

1. What is your single favorite memory from Walkabout?

Ack, I have to pick one? There’s so many… Perhaps, if pushed, I’d have to say one the Queen Charlotte Islands, the pre-dawn walk from the ferry terminal to the town itself. Everything was quiet, the moon was glittering off the harbour, the air just cool enough to walk comfortably in, and I’ve never felt so alive and at peace in all my life.

2. If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be?

If pushed, I’d have to say I’d have listened to BRM the first time he said he didn’t think we were going to work out. It was just after the Great Woollongong Disaster, we were staying with his parents, and things were pretty crappy. If I’d listened to him then, instead of flatly denying there were issues, I would have had five years of my life back, and wouldn’t have had to go through the whole depression thing with him, and certainly wouldn’t have ended up in Wodonga.

That being said, despite the whole mess, I have learned a lot about myself because of it, and that knowledge is something I wouldn’t have gained otherwise, so there’s always benefits to a situation, no matter how horrible it may seem.

3. What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Write that novel. Get myself published, or at least working in publishing. Basically do a job I enjoy, rather than one I do because it’s the only thing I’m trained at.

4. What's your favorite part about living in Australia?

There’s a few things. The general ‘fair go’ attitude of the people (excluding the usual bigots, of course). The beauty of the country and the fact you don’t have to worry about bears when you go hiking. ;) The cheap price of food, and the variety you can get – healthy eating is a lot easier here than in the States, for example. The way our social services are (for the moment) geared towards fair play – it’s not a user pays system, and if I get sick, I can get treatment, regardless of whether I have private health insurance. John Howard is doing a lot to dismantle what I love about my country, and that’s why I hate him with a fiery, burning passion.

Oh, and don’t forget the beer.

5. Do you enjoy riding your bike, or do you wish you had a car?

I seriously do love riding the bike. The only times I’ve wanted a car are when I want to do longer trips and public transport isn’t available (I could do a lot more bushwalking and camping if I had a car) and when I’m moving house. Otherwise, nope, can do without. In fact, I do without pretty well, anyway. Besides, I really hate driving. ;)

Questions from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]

Ooh, these ones are fun. ;)

1.) What fictional character do you most identify with?

You’ll laugh, but at the moment, Deena Pilgrim. I’m not a cop, sure, but I’m learning to be tough and independent and capable. There’s also the sense of mischief and the ability to find the humour in most things. And I look good in little shirts too. ;)

2.) What is the ideal version of your pixie wings?

Ones that don’t cut the circulation off in my arms? *grins* Okay, the ideal wings would be ones that would let me actually fly, but since that’s impossible, I’ll settle for something sparkly and glittery that extend past my back so you can see them from the front as well as the back.

3.) There's a glitch in the system and all Vegemite disappears off the face of the Earth. Never existed. Is there an acceptable substitute?

ARRGGHHHHH!!!!! *pants and clutches at her chest* Don’t scare me like that.

There is, in my mind, no substitute. Kraft cream cheese, the type you get in the jar, might do at a pinch, but I’d end up the size of a house if I had that on toast every morning. I’d end up mainlining B12 tablets, I think.

4.) If you ruled the world, where would you set up your headquarters?

Somewhere in the Canadian Rockies. Great views, and if you wanted to assassinate me, you’d have to be serious about it. ;)

5.) How does the phrase 'plot bunny' strike you? Cute and fuzzy, or vicious and toothy?

Both, like the Holy Grail’s killer bunny rabbit. All cute and fuzzy on the outside, but then… CHOMP! It sinks its teeth in and nibbles away at your ankles until you give in.

Had BRM over for dinner last night, and he came bearing a reasonably-priced track pump. So I’ll be able to replace the tube on my bike tomorrow and get Cecil back on the road. About time, too – catching the tram has made me lazy, and it always takes me longer to wake up if I haven’t had a nice cold breeze in my face.
