Sun always makes things look better. :)
May. 14th, 2001 02:24 pmEven if you've had a crappy night's sleep. Gak, I hate it when I know I have to get up for work the next day, and can't seem to settle. I was waking up what felt like every hour - I didn't check the clock because a) that only makes things worse; and b) I didn't have my glasses on and couldn't see it anyway. ;) Dad picked me up and took me to my grandparents' this morning so I could pick up my bike. We had arranged for me to meet mum and dad at their place, and then walk togather to Nan and Grandad's, but they decided to change plans, which left me with a bike I needed to leave somewhere. Still, it all worked out in the end - I got my mountain bike and rode to work in good time. Too good a time - I was half an hour early. :)
We've got a work experience student this week - Tara. She's a year nine student, which means we'll be struggling to keep her interested without giving her stuff that's too difficult, or too easy to make a real mess of. At least it's Court day tomorrow and we have a contest on. :) Paula was away today too, so I struggled with the cash, finally working out what I was doing. Still, I've got to learn their system sometime, and as Peter said, "There's no time like the present."
Half-day today; I did some supermarket shopping, and got my train ticket for Melbourne. So I'm guaranteed bunny time now. :) Still haven't gotten around to getting my Trinity-boots - I'll save that for tomorrow, since I have to go to Albury this afternoon for karate. Yes, I'm finally getting off my butt and trying this place out.
And on the fic front... Still can't get into Topica, although the support people tell me after 4pm. I'm guessing that's US time. Posting via email seems to be working, since I've gotten feedback for "Road to Hell", but I'm dammed if I can actually view the list. So if there's any great fics out there, someone let me know and forward them to me. ;)
