*grins* I tried out my Trinity outfit tonight, for BRM. He's lending me an Army webbing belt and his leather motorbike jacket, and I got boots and a pair of sunglasses today. Which leaves the toy gun - I'm going to the $2 Shop tomorrow lunchtime to see what I can find, and if that doesn't yield results, I'll be in Albury that afternoon for karate, so I can try over there.

*grins again* I gotta say, it's looking good. For BRM to be impressed, it has to be. And he was.

Today wasn't too bad as far as work goes. The two day contest actually resolved into a guilty plea ('fell over', in court slang), so that was two days I didn't have to spend sitting there trying to keep awake. And with a work experience student at my elbow, I wouldn't have been able to write either. The one day contest booked in for tomorrow (all court staff are gamblers when it comes to the list, and the prosecutor had tipped us off about today) also looks to be resolving, which is again, a good thing. Although it will leave me without too much to do for the rest of the day. Peter said he might have to go down to Melbourne tomorrow, which is good timing - we won't be needing him urgently. His son, who lives in Melbourne is not dealing well with the death of his friend; who disappeared from a nightclub in Melbourne and was found in the Yarra River several days later. One of the things about a country town - it's more like three degrees of separation.

And I've found my martial arts niche. The Goju Ryu school is stricter and more intensive than MUKC, but in a good way. The students (all adults - the children's classes run earlier) are friendly and the style, while different from what I'm trained in, isn't hugely so. Not enough that I can't catch on after watching what is going on. We did basics for the hour and a half - for my benefit, I think - and I was well used-up by the end. And I had a half hour ride home (10 kms between Wodonga and Albury, so if I train three times a week as I'm intending, that's 20 kms a night, 60 per week). *hmms* Well, I'm certainly going to be fit after a few months of this. I just hope I don't drop any more weight; my clothes are already too big, and I really don't think my frame can handle any more. I'm starting to look a tad guant around the face as it is. Apologies if this sounds like bragging, but believe me, being underweight is just as bad as being overweight.

The only fly in my ointment last night was the fact BRM, who had promised to make dinner that night since I wouldn't be home until after 8.30pm, didn't; he fell asleep. He then offered to make me a sandwich whilst I was in the shower, de-sweating, and again didn't (the phone rang). I ended up making myself two minute noodles, which were yummy, but not exactly healthy or satisfying. Not a good thing, after all the energy I burned that evening. My bum can probably stand to shrink a bit, but I'd rather let the cycling do that, not food deprivation. :P

I'm going to make up for it tonight with tuna casserole. Yes, I know I'm supposed to be vegetarian, but I do actually still eat fish sometimes. One, because it's too damn healthy not to, and contains a lot of stuff the veggies don't (zinc, protein and omega 3 fatty acids, for a start); and two, because I love the stuff. Including sushi. I don't eat meat (including chicken) because I don't like the taste, and it frequently makes me feel ill. Every so often I get fooled by something, and have been physically ill as a result of it. Walking past a McDonald's or a KFC will actually make me feel nauseous - it's the smell, you see. Which makes the fact I went into a Macca's with Raphie even more of a miracle. ;) See the sacrifices I make for friends? *chuckles*

On the OTL and Topica front, I finally got back in, which was good, because there was some feedback for me for "Justice". A Trisha feedback, nonetheless. :) With haggis. *giggles* The first few pricklings of a follow-up fic are beginning, so I'll see what I can do, especially with a three and a half hour train trip coming up on Thursday. And another return on Sunday. :) Seven hours of enforced inactivity; Frank had better have a clear head for some inspiration.
