Fridge Magnet Poetry.
May. 16th, 2001 08:38 pmFor those who don't know these, fridge magnet poetry sets are little boxes of words on magnetic strips, which you stick on your fridge and make up sentences, phrases and poems. BRM and Martin (the Spike look-alike) are cureently playing with the set BRM got for a class he took today (he's on teaching rounds this week). At the moment we have on the fridge...
"sad daughter of fire..."
"broken sex pool squirm..."
and "caramel couderoy embrace from delicious wet blaze..." among others. *grins*An interestign peek into Martin's head. :)
I love these things. It's a way of being creative when you haven't got the impetus to start. I've wanted a set for ages, but never got around to getting one.
In other news:
All packed for my bunny weekend starting tomorrow. Still haven't found a gun, but I'll have a day to find one in Melbourne. I've also arranged to do some computer training with my work mentor, since I need to do it sometime and Michael will be at work on Friday any way.
I was supposed to go to bo training tonight, but it was raining pretty heavily, and cold, so I piked. :P Actually, I ended up falling asleep on my bed for three hours, wrapped up in my doona, so I'd say I probably needed it. Hmm, I might have to make alternative travel arrangements once winter hits properly up here, or just tough it out. Clean slate next week - I'll go Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'm counting on you guys to hold me to that - nag me, okay?
I'll be off, sinc we've got company. And I'm starving any way. BRM's heating up some veggie soup, and there's a new loaf of homemade bread for toast. And a four pack of Kilkenny's that I got from the bottle shop across the park. I'm tired, but satisfied. :)

Date: 2001-05-16 08:36 am (UTC)I adore 'fridge magnet poetry. If you go back through my journal, one of the Daily Odd Links was an online site that let you drag and drop 'magnets' to make poetry online. The bit on my 'fridge now reads:
