So, this morning I brought soap and shampoo in and had my first shower in two days, thanks to the work facilities. And I tell you, I was tempted to stay under there until I turned wrinkly. It was blissful, especially after being all sweaty and ick from the ride in and training the night before. It was like baptism or something.
Apparently there's a hot water heater technician turning up at my place sometime today (they have the spare key from the estate agent and I've hidden my computer, which is the only truly valuable thing I own, apart from the bike, which is here), so with any luck, the problem will be fixed tomorrow. And if not, then I'll be showering here again tomorrow, and there's always the Brunswick swimming pool facilities over the weekend. 'Cause I'm damned if I'm going to do the bucket shower thing again. :P
Semi-productive day, with a lot of people away on courses and giving talks and such meaning more work to be done. But I've learned my lesson from Tuesday - I'm making sure I don't do everything, so I have something left for tomorrow. Of course, I'm moving to Appeals on Monday, so I won't have to worry about these damn revocations for a while.
I also just had the best lunch, ever, at this place someone on [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] recommended that's near here "Eat Drink Bento", which is in Hardware Street opposite Pugg Mahones' pub. It's Japanese-style bento boxes, with all the little compartments for different foods, and I've stuffed myself beyond full for $8.90. The food was amazing, too - definitely somewhere to return to, preferably when I have more than half an hour for lunch. Hmm, I wonder if they're open in the evenings?
