Hijacked!

I made the mistake of giving up my seat at the computer so BRM could check his email - he's been on all night 'cause his typing's so slow. So just a very brief post today.

Blitzed through the court list today. Mr Coburn (Magistrate of the Week *grins*) was great, ploughing through the HUGE list we had - 53 cases in the Criminal court alone, plus a few intervention orders and a Children's Court matter. But we got though it all by lunch time, almost (we sat maybe fifteen minutes extra just to get rid of the last couple of things).

Actually, inside court sounded like a better place to be than in the office - a few troublesome 'clients', including the bloke who threw up on the front steps and another who was so drunk he took a piss outside the office window, apparently. Erk.

Got home to find the hot water heater had developed a leak. As in, no water staying inside it. I thought I'd heard water running this morning, but I neglected to check it before I left. *grrs* Plumber's coming tomorrow to fix/replace it, but it means there's no hot water at all. Looks like I'm dropping by mum and dad's tomorrow morning for my shower. Feh.

And finally, bow down and worship Maelstrom, as the Beta Reading Goddess she is! She did a sterling job on "Rock The Boat", and once I wrested control of the computer back, I posted it to OTL. So, Collective Mutants fans, go forth and read. :)

Also picked up some more feedback for that SC fic, "All In My Head", and did the beta for Miko I'd promised. Jesse is next - I'll see how I am tomorrow after a day-long civil matter. *bleahs* Too bad I don't have external email access at work, or I could do it there. But my disk drive is kaput, so there's no way I could bring anything I did back. And hand-betaing is a pain; you only have to re-do all the changes on the computer any way. Once I get "The Team #26" done, I'll turn my attention to Doqz's fic. Hopefully all this creativity in others will spark something in me - I've been rather 'eh' lately.

And finally; I rang about the classes yesterday; the program for terms 3 and 4 aren't out yet, but I am on the mailing list. So I have done something. :)
