All quiet on the chatroom front...
Oct. 28th, 2001 12:35 amIt's always the way when there's a gathering of ficcers. Or several, as the case is this weekend. Not many people around at all, and those that are are packing or planning or otherwise filling in time before leaving to Gather. Not that I begrudge them the fun in any way, but it always serves to make me feel a tad... I dunno, dissatisfied, I guess. Of course, the fact BRM left yesterday evening and is still away may have something to do with it to. I guess I'm feeling a tad abandoned.
Still, the people who were online tonight were ones I was glad to see. Had a chat with Oberon, who I haven't seen much of at all over the past few months. And a Samy, another all-too-infrequent friend, although that's mainly because I don't go to #subcafe as much as I used to. There's usually way too much traffic, and a lot of people I don't know - although the only way to solve that is to go in there and meet them. *grins wryly*
I seriously need to go out and do something, anything tomorrow. Anything that doesn't involve the computer - I've been online far too much this weekend, and my head is getting fuzzy as a result. Not enough sleep and too much screen. So, tomorrow may have to be a computer-free day, or at least I should have a few hours off and away. Go for a MTB ride or something. See the grandparents. Ride over to Albury for the screening of "The Man Who Sued God" that is a fundraiser for Amnesty International.
But most importantly, sleep and eat. I've done little of either today - just haven't felt like it, at all. Not a good sign.
