...or at least, waiting for the person who gave me all these applications to come back from a union meeting to check them over. I'm still on the "making decisions on sticky notes for checking" stage, which is cool. I've only been here three days.

I think I'm definitely going to like working here, for a while, at least. The work isn't as dull as I'd feared, being actual decision-making rather than data entry, and the perks more than make up for it. These guys even have casual days on Fridays; we pay $1 to wear casual and the money goes to the Peter McCallum Institute for cancer research. And any cause that gets me out of work clothes and into jeans is fine by me. So yeah, I'm liking it so far. The half-hour lunch is taking some getting used to, but if it means I get a day off a month, then I'll just get used to it.

Don't have an awful lot to say, really. I still haven't gotten back fully into the online thing - no chat or AIM so far - but that's mainly because I'm still sorting out my ISP. I'm debating between a phone/internet package with Optus for $53 a month, or find a separate ISP for cheaper. We shall see. And while I miss talking to certain people (who seem to have forgotten what an email addy is *grins*), I'm not missing the extraneous stuff. Especially with CBFFA season in full swing - like any kind of vote, it's attracting the usual contentions and arguments. Me, I'm in it just for the good fic recs. Which, by the way, I have to thank Trusty for - you reminded me of a few things I'd forgotten, mate, many thanks.

Still debating training tonight - I was doign well, then hit the mid-afternoon slump and now all I can think about is taking it easy tonight. We shall see how I feel at five.

Ooh, Tim's back. Time to go get graded. :)
