Two bits of good news...
Feb. 13th, 2003 04:04 pmThe first is I have an interview for the applications I put in yesterday. These are the two VPS-3 positions at Heidelberg, which means more responsibility and a bit more travel, but better pay and some recognition of my abilities. The interview is on Monday morning (that's Aussie time, folks *grins*) at 10.30. Wish me luck. :)
The second is that the planned strike for tomorrow has been called off as the Department of Justice and the union were able to come to some agreement. Our qualifications will remain mandatory and the Department has to get our agreement for any changes to the structure, and they're going to evaluate the pay levels, starting with the trainees and moving up. So, possible pay rise by the end of the financial year, again whoo. :) That was always an option and things are good.
Gotta go, fire drill.
