More randomness
May. 7th, 2003 12:54 pmBuffy last night rocked. Great scene with Dawn and Xander at the end - I went all gooey, at the same time saying "that's exactly right!"
We've gotten three new members to Southern Stars in the last twenty-four hours. Cool, neh? I think I'm going to have to take Andraste's lead and add the link to my OTL sig quote. That and the "Gates..." one. Of course, that would mean I'd have to be posting something. ;)
Finished the Bloody Ink fic for April's challenge. Yeah, I know it's May now, but I forgot the most recent version was at work and I hadn't sent it home. The ending's a bit lame - I ran out of steam - but it's cute. I've also been writing a bit more of the Collective Mutants finale, and John's been prodding me to just finish "Death and the Art..." and be done with it already. Of course, I get writing vibes when I'm too busy to actually do anything about it. Bloody typical - my Muse has an evil sense of humour.
Talking of humour - mine apparently broke OtherSteve, who was my co-counter person yesterday. He says I'm very sarcastic - I would have thought scathing was the better word - and by the end of the day I couldn't open my mouth without him giving me grief. Hmf, didn't know it was against the rules to have a sense of humour. Besides, if I don't make jokes about the work, I'd go stark raving bonkers.
Still no word on either job prospect - I'm starting to feel a bit discouraged. Especially when yes, I am sick again. It's got to be this building, I never got sick this often anywhere else, not even in Wodonga when I was stressed to the eyeballs and dealing with the Great Unwashed. Still, I'm hoping to throw it off without resorting to a day off - I'm dosing myself on juice and echinacea (and alfalfa, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], when I can get it) and hoping it's only a small bug this time. Because, dammit, I have too much that needs doing to get sick again.
Although that stuff that needs doing doesn't include work. I've cleaned out the revocation applications pigeon hole, processed the lot, and now I'm sitting around trying to look busy. Man, I hate being bored more than I hate being stressed. At least if you're busy all day the time goes quicker.
Hmm, maybe I'll jump onto the job-searching sites again.
