Bill Gates strikes again

So I was all set to do my tax return online, and then I discover that it requires me to have Internet Explorer as my browser.

*humphs*

See, I don't have an issue with IE, but I prefer Netscape. It runs better on the Mac, and is nice and easy to navigate. And I don't see why I should download a whole new browser just to ladge my tax return.

So I'm logging off shortly to find my calculator and a pencil so I can do it by hand.

Oh, and my video player horfed on me. After I decided to comfort my non-promotion-getting self with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I've cleaned the heads three times, and it's still not reading visual, so I guess I'll have to find a place that will repair it. *sighs* In about a month, after I've paid the rent and the credit card bill and get paid again.

There's no ill a hot bubble bath with peppermint oil (for lightening the mood and clearing the head) and a chat with your mum can't cure. And if there is, a good hot cup of tea will see it off. ;)

Especially when said bath is had in conjunction with the cleansing face masque, removal of the stubble from your legs, and doing the first coat of your nails. I would have added a glass of red wine, only I have enough trouble putting on nail polish straight in the first place, and who knows where it might have ended up. Just too bad I never have any nails to speak of, what with karate and their habit of breaking once they reach a certain length. And I don't like those stick-ons - that's getting too damn fussy, if you ask me.

Just about to do the second coat, having had dinner (early, but then again I didn't have lunch). It's this lovely bloody shade of dark red, perfect for this character I'm getting into tonight. The preparation is actually becoming a bit of a production, but I'm enjoying it. It's been so long since I last put this kind of effort into what I looked like, and even though it's for a costume, not actually me, it's still gratifying.

Besides, I need to feel good about myself, and looking damn good is part of it.

*giggles* The sight of my nails on the keyboard is very distracting - they're all red and shiny...

Hmm, ought to get to that second coat, and then get dressed. Later, all.
