I went in and donated blood again this morning. Whilst we managed to get it just out of the one arm this time, things were a bit on the sluggish side again. Apparently my veins are smaller on the inside than the outside. Next time I'm going to try for an afternoon appointment and see if that helps. But otherwise it went fine, even with me going on my own. Terry Pratchett is a good distraction from reality, and that includes people sticking large bore needles in your arm and filling up a small pouch with your blood.
Especially the bit in The Wee Free Men about the lawyers. I was snickering aloud to myself, which I have to say is not normal blood-donating behaviour. Nervous giggles, yes, but not amused chuckles...
I want a pictsie with a blue glowing sword (their swords glow blue in the presence of lawyers) to put on my desk.

Quiet evening last night, since I'm doing the going out thing tonight. I managed to write part of the wedding scene for the last Collective Mutants story, just need to finish that and the reception in the pub and I'm done. This one's pretty conversation-heavy, as most of this series has been, but I think it's going well. I amuse myself. ;)
And now I'd best find some work. Haev a good one, all.
