May I live in Interesting Times. Or at least Interesting Weekends.

Stuff I learned since my last post, Friday afternoon:

1) Public servants should never be allowed free reign with large amounts of alcohol and cocktail mixers.

2) Should someone be foolish enough to give said public servants such free reign, please designate a specific person to mix cocktails. Preferably sober.

3) Tequila is evil.

4) When trying to remember how many different cocktails you've drunk, the number should not hit double digits. Especially if you've been drinking for only five hours.

5) Bloody Mary, on the other hand, is rather tasty.

6) Taxis are a Godsend for drunken public servants who have other venues to attend.

7) My karate club people are extremely forgiving, although I may have to deal with some mocking come training on Monday. They are also very nice to the random work colleagues I drag with me to completely different functions for reasons I really don't remember but were no doubt good ones at the time, but have nothing at all to do with The Sex.

8) In regards to The Sex, I shall only give you the Big Shit Eating Grin of Smugness and say I really like my karate boys.

9) Said karate boy was indeed lovely, and even brought me aspirin and water and coffee in bed yesterday morning, as I was too ill to move.

10) Afternoon naps in the sunshine are indeed Of The Strong, and sometimes are Of The Necessary if cocktail-swilling, karate-boy-loving public servants are to get their sorry butts to the David Bridie show with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com].

11) I am the Aussie Music Guru. Never forget it.

12)And ye the Forces Of Good looked down upon the city of Melbourne and declared that there should be 24-hour Greek restaurants for the Foodly Challenged. And ye, Stalagtites was created, and it was Good.

13) I appear to be responsible for the sudden change in Melbourne's weather (Saturday, low thirties, glorious sunshine, balmy evening; Sunday, continuous rain all morning, still kinda warm tho', since I'm sitting here in my short jammies): I played the Paul Kally song "Midnight Rain" last night at around midnight, and thus summoned our non-stop sprinkler system. Maybe if I find "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves, it'll go away?

14) It's too wet to ride to St Kilda to do the beach thing today with Phil. I will have to call him and see if he's up for alternatives.

15) I smell. I'm off to have a shower.
