In which some things are resolved.
Dec. 17th, 2003 10:35 amWell, I called the estate agent yesterday after talking to Bounce and asked if I could give them a final decision on Saturday. I haven't heard back from them yet, which is a tad annoying, but oh well. In the meantime I'm trying to get as many places seen as possible, which will mean a major session on Saturday, but I've also already emailed the agents for the best picks and am trying to arrange appointments to view during the week. All this would work just that much easier if we weren't on work bans - it means we're sticking to the exact hours (a kind of "nyah nyah" gesture) and there goes my flexitime which I would have used to get down to St Kilda by four. Instead, I'm stuck here until five, which is usually much later than they hand out keys, or even stay open. :P
Ah well, it'll get sorted. There's always Saturday.
One thing that is happening is that I'll be looking for a one bedroom place only, preferably for about six months. The reason why isn't mine to explain, so I'll just leave it there.
I've also purchased the train tickets needed to get me, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] to Wodonga for Christmas. Yas and I will be heading up on the 23rd, since I have the 24th off, and Phil will be joining us on the 24th since he doesn't. :) And we're all heading back on Saturday the 27th. Since I'm flying out to Toronto at noon on the 28th, I was thinking maybe a 9pm-ish showing of Return Of The King Saturday night after we get back - any of the Melbourne Maelstrom are free to join me, especially once I get the actual times. :)
Bloody freaky dreams last night. I dreamt someone wrote a critique of my LJ, basically calling me selfish and self-absorbed and extremely boring. Nice to know what my subconscious thinks, isn't it? :P *shakes head* My brain is weird, sometimes.
On front counter today for the first time in a while. Also wearing a dress, which is rather short and very light, and thus is entertaining to those who come to the counter, but that's because it's stinking hot out there today rather than because I wanted to stir people up. Summer is making itself felt.
Hey, fellow cycling people - any suggestions for the Ten Commandments of our particular religion?
