Mental note

Note to self: Never leave the window partly-open overnight on a nice Sunday night, even if a breeze is a good thing to have. The number of drunken rowdy people staggering past after the Sunday session at the St Kilda Inn is just not worth it. Not one of the best nights' sleep.

Off to work soonish - I have court today, but since it's only one matter that needs to be adjourned off further for the person to pay more money, it shouldn't take long. And can I say how much I'm over Perin? Two months to go before I'm eligible for transfer, and with Mark the 2IC sending out threatening emails to all staff about our internet usage and abuse of the sign-in book, morale just isn't there.

XP people? Work addy. :) I'll be a bit slow answering until I get back from court, but otherwise I'm going to need the distraction before I go homicidal with the stapler again.

It's been a Day

A rather odd day, for that matter...

By 9.30am, I had given first aid to a fellow cyclist who came to grief on the tram tracks on Swanston Street, calmed down a cranky client over the phone (my first call of the day), and was in court waiting for my defendant to show up. This is what I get for getting up early. :P

I've also been doing Specials, and nothing but Specials. Mim was away today, as was Nick who is the other de facto assisstant and who tends to pounce on things before I get them, so I had the crazy people all to myself. *grins* Which means I actually enjoyed my work today. Got most of it done (there's three things that need consulting with Mim), including four or five requests for medical reports that needed doing. I so rock.

See, why can't work be like this all the time? I wouldn't hate it as much.
