Interesting

The responses to the meme I posted post before last have been interesting. Considering I have woken up next to a lot of ficcers, it was amusing to see how many interpreted the question to imply there was nookie involved. Because I've slept with (as in shared a bed, but nothing else) with a lot of people who read my friends list, with no thought of anything else. Hell, there was one year at Dexcon (the really hot year with the hostel not having aircon) where everyone staying at the hostel pretty much woke up next to at least two other ficcers, given the whole 'camp out in the foyer' thing.

It's flattering, I think, that the assumption was made. Unless it implies I'm a gigantic slut, in which case, not so much. *grins*

It seems this cold bug is as short-lived as it is virulent - after a day of fluids and bed rest, I'm feeling much better. Put in a massive day's work today, given we were down to three people in revocations again. *rolls eyes in the direction of stupid managers who can't stagger leave properly to ensure adequate coverage* I didn't tally things up completely, but I made orders on something like 200 fines today. Tired now, as to be expected.

I also got not one, but two calls from friends. Considering the last time my work phone rang with a personal call is last in the depths of time, it was a very pleasant surprise. *hugs pollymel and qodarkness. Can't wait until April and Coochie. :)

And I have an inspection of the flat tomorrow by the estate agent. Must remember to stash the computer somewhere out of sight.

Just in case you were curious...

This review of Constantine seems to sum up the very little I've seen and the much I've heard about the movie. In space they may not be able to hear you scream, but in a crowded movie theatre there's no escape. It'll be a cold day in hell before I even consider seeing this thing - it sounds like not just a bloody awful adaptation of one of the more complex characters in comics, but just a bad movie over all.
