deathpixie: (grumpy)
So, last night at the pub, as I went to pay my bill, I discovered that my debit card had been cancelled. Thank goodness it was at the Griffin, since I'd packed away my credit card to stop using it and the roomie was non-liquid as well. A check of my account last night online revealed two ATM withdrawals that I hadn't done, totalling $440.

Yep, that's right. I was skimmed. Somehow they got my PIN number and a copy of my card and cleaned me out before the bank realised something was up and cancelled the card.

So, it was off to the bank with me this morning before work. New card, new PIN, investigation report lodged (since they cancelled the card, it's extremely probable I'll get the money refunded) and they even asked if I had funds to go on with, since it'll take 5 working days to process (I do - the bank cancelled the card before they got into my overdraft, so I've got that for a few days).

As far as new experiences go? Not my favourite. I slept horribly, I've been grinding my teeth all night and my neck is not happy. But, everything has worked out, so at least there's that, right?
deathpixie: (so very tired)
... I am so done. Head is splitting from the inevitable tension headache that comes of sleeping badly, grinding my teeth/clenching my jaw from stress and having a huge pile of work from Alvin today. And here's me sans Advil and needing to do a couple of chores (get meds and pay bar bill from last night) before I can go home, take drugs and nap.

I worked through lunch - I wonder if that's enough to convince Sonia I need to go home now?

Turning off the internet so I can concentrate on only one thing at a time.

ETA: I love my heat pack. I really do. And [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] for giving it me me. *hearts*
