Not the smartest cookie in the box...
Sep. 24th, 2009 10:46 amYesterday after I got home, I emptied the kitty litter, took some Advil, got my heatpack from the pretty girl upstairs, ate, emailed the roomie's mum with my parental phone number (which would be why I was online at all despite a tension headache that was actually making my cheekbones, eyesockets and jaw ache) and passed out on the couch. That would have been around 7 p.m. I woke up around 10:30 p.m. to an empty house (roomie had gone to watch the game), checked that nothing had exploded XP-wise and then staggered off to bed, where I slept like a dead thing until 8:00 this morning.
The good news is, the headache is gone. Of particular help was my heatpack, which is one of those U-shaped ones full of lavendar and wheat grains, that you heat in the microwave. The smell lingered on my hair and skin even after I went to bed, which helped with the coma-like sleeping, I think.
Of course, the other side to that is I'm still kind of dopey and my IQ has shrunk to that of Ralph Wiggums from The Simpsons. Considering it was the level of a retarded sloth last night, this is actually an improvement. Plus, my back and shoulders are still like steel cables. But yeah, I'm going to be a bit dim today, I think, at least until I shake the weariness. You have been warned.
I do have an appointment for regular counselling next Tuesday, tho'. All hail productivity!
