Another week, another update...
Oct. 26th, 2009 03:13 pmOnce more in the cause of not having my parents worry I've dropped off the face of the planet, an update!
Flu - still recovering. I spent a good chunk of the weekend sleeping, which helped a lot and I'm down to a sniffly nose, occasional cough and this weird recurring headache which just annoys me more than anything else.
Work - Jane's back from vacation which means a busy, busy me. She had a trial in the middle of her files for prepping, so I had to get that ready. Alvin's also in and being Alvin, so I've been a bit distracted. Hence, scattered responses to emails.
Home - is messy atm. Being sick meant a lot of malingering on the couch for me, and the roomie has had a hellish week or three at work, with him winding up bringing work home most nights. I meant to do some cleaning over the weekend while he and the girl upstairs were in London (Ontario), but again with the sleeping. I've got the place to myself tonight too - they're off to Niagara for a break, which is good - and then the roomie is home all week.
Kitties - continue to thrive. I think they cornered a mouse under the bar this morning, since they were sitting there eyeing it suspiciously. As long as it doesn't end up in my bed or under my bare feet, I'm good if they catch it.
Me - I'm good, apart from the lurghi remnants. Counselling tomorrow, which will be good after missing it last week, and I've been keeping busy. Been reading again, which is always good - Pride and Prejudice and Zombies plus The Last Watch, which is the final of the Russian Night Watch series. I need to procure a larger handbag so I can fit my lunch and a book and my notebook in it - I'm hoping to do NanoWriMo, the short story writing month, again, and I need to jot down ideas.
