Life happens

deathpixieSo, it's been a couple of days.
Stuff that sticks out in my memory:
- Saints and Sinners night, meeting some very interesting people who weren't entirely unlike fanficcers, drinking the most heavenly strawberry daquaris (sp?) chasing them with Cowboys, the lipstick mark Alex left behind, looking damn good, and feeling the same...
- Falafel Quest on Sunday failing yet again, and going to the Quarry instead. Hours of talking...
- The book voucher my auntie Leanne sent me on Monday, to cheer me up after not getting the job. New Pratchett (The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, and finally regaining Lords and Ladies, lost in the Great Pratchett Division. People talk about having to split their comics collections, for us it was the Pratchett. I chose Soul Music over L&L and have missed it ever since. Love the witches...
- Finally deciding to get Falafel on DVD. And should I find someone to convert it to the other format, I can send a copy to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com].
And scary that a news story on the prosecution of people who share music files came on just as I was typing that...
- Spring has arrived. I can make it home without using my lights, and it's almost too warm to wear my leggings. You know it's truly spring when my legs see the light of day again.
- More observers than defendants in court today. We were finished by 11am, and then I got karmic retribution in the shape of several difficult phone calls and enough work to keep me busy for the rest of the day.
- Called [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] briefly from work, as she has the flu again. Sent [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] her birthday prezzie.
- Got a letter from that journalist's cadetship; they got my application, and it's onto the next round. I'll either get asked to do an exam in another few months, or not.
Stuff I need to remember:
- renew passport in the next month or two.
- make an appointment to donate blood again; it's been ten weeks. Also, drink water. Lots of water.
- meet with the boss from Sunshine Court tomorrow morning to get feedback on that last interview. Also, look into an employment agency; I'm calling in the experts.
- look for weekend work after the weekend in Sydney.

- My brain is full of fluff; I keep forgetting things, like birthdays and stuff.
- I might be flaky lately, but I'm still thinking of people. Well wishes to all.
- Sometimes all you need is time.
