It's odd how, even while imprisoned in an office building with regurgitated air conditioned air circulating, I can still smell the rain coming. It's a smell that's like nothing else, and all I need is one whiff and I'm back on the farm, sitting on the verandah on a muggy summer's evening watching the thunderheads roll in. There's such a sense of anticipation - the rain hasn't started yet, but you know it will, sometime, and the ground is usually crying out for it like a heroine in a trashy romance novel.
Only with less heaving.
Except if you're in California.
I've got a feeling (a bit of an inkling) that this is going to be one of those days where I post a lot. Again with the no more work, although at least I made it to the afternoon, and if I was hoping for some nice diverting discussions about the various Unpopular Opinions posts I've seen in my FriendsList today, I've been sadly disappointed. :P I'd post one of my own, but Mel and I have discovered that no matter what one of us says, no-one will argue with us. It's really quite disappointing if, like us, you enjoy a good discussion.
