I slept through my alarm and decided that today would be declared a "take it easy and catch up on rest" day. Especially after Steve McLeod went through my leave book on Friday and told me I actually have sick leave without certificate left. And considering I'm fairly stiff from the training, and exhausted to boot, I'm not really faking it. Besides, after the insanity of the last few weeks, it's probably a good idea, especially when I have to consider that the next couple of weekends are going to be spent flat hunting.
Hanging out with the karate folks is a good thing - they make me feel like a valued human being. And there's always plenty of hugs. Christmas party on Wednesday, after our last training. There's going to be a few people there - Hanshi Tony Jackson (the 10th dan from Perth who instructed at camp) will be instructing. There's no training tonight, on account of most of us still being wrecked from camp. Besides, we have to get the grass stains out of our gis. ;)
Hmm, I can't wait until Wednesday, which is pay day. I need to buy food. I can manage until then, but it's going to be close. *sighs* Still need to work on that budgeting, don't I?
