Technically I have a job interview in half an hour, although there seems to be a bit of a delay, since the person before me hasn't gone in yet. But yeah, interview for that manager's position I was temping in a couple of months ago. Wish me luck.

And, since I'm out of work, I'm looking to distract myself from the whole interview thing, so, an LJ entry! With actual news!

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] came down to not-so-sunny Melbourne this past long weekend for a visit, which was much of the good. My voice is still a tad dodgy after lots of talking, and I have satisfied the indoor climbing bug for another while by taking her and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] down to Victoria Ranges Climbing Gym (The Mill, alas, seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs. Damn indemnity insurance debarcle) on Sunday. I'm out of practice - a lot - but I still managed a few harder walls. Just need to get my strength back up again.

I've also decided that Kill Bill Volume 2 is the cinematic equivalent of a cocktease (apologies to Dad for the language, but it's the best word that fits!). Lots of lead-up and imminent violence with the shiny swords and all, and then... anticlimax. It's all over in two minutes, or doesn't happen at all. After the first movie, it's something of a let down. I did, however, still enjoy it - just wish there'd been actual fight scenes.

Something that doesn't look disappionting is Hero. We saw the trailers for it and I squeaked all the way through. "Coming Soon" is all we got as far as dates go, so I hope it's not out during Dexcon, 'cause that would suck.

It's Jet Li, people. I am the eternal Jet Li fangirl. Have been, ever since Once Upon A Time In China.

Accident update - the bruises are healing nicely, as are the grazes. The bike, however, does have a buckled front wheel (not a lot, but enough to need work) and the gears weren't as easy to adjust as I'd thought. So I'm taking it in to get fixed, since I need to replace the helmet anyway. This weekend, so I have the chance to get the driver to pay for it. I miss my ride in, I have to say...

Looks like Phil and I are hitting Hobart weekend after next to visit [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], which will be fun. She called the other night, which was a nice surprise. Insanely busy, but happy, is the best way to describe her life right now.

All this seeing people is putting me in the mood for Dexcon - about time, since I've been focused more on the money side of it than anything else. $2300 for plane tickets, ouch.

A couple of things...

Good luck with the interview, eeek! on the cash woes, and have fun with all the visiting.

Good to know the bruises are healing as well.
