Oh Canada!

So, here we have the obligatory "I made it without anything horrible happening" post. Especially since I tend to get into everyone's bad books if I don't. ;)
So yes, made it. Alive, unharmed and with Dex's beer intact. My sanity on the other hand... FOUR planes. FOUR. Melbourne to Sydney, Sydney to Honolulu, Honolulu to Vancouver, Vancouver to Toronto. I did get lucky with the first three and had an empty seat next to me, which meant I got a fair amoutn of sleep, but still. FOUR PLANES.
And yes, there was Yellow Griffin-ing once I got here. After the traditional shower, 'cause y'know, 22 hours of travelling makes for a stinky Rossi. And with the longer hair I can't just stick my head under the tap in the sinks of various airport bathrooms, so there was grease factor. And people wonder why I wash my hair every day. Ick. But yeah, there was pub, and beer, and I'm surprisingly chipper this morning. No hangover, mainly because I made sure I stayed hydrated on the plane, and awake and alert at nine in the morning after getting to bed at two because hye, my body clock is insisting it's mid afternoon or something. Of course, I'll crash badly later. ;)
Of course, everyone else is still in bed and unconscious (well, I'm guessing Mel is - she's elsewhere this morning *eg*), so here I am.
Alive, unharmed and with two glorious months of not working at PERIN ahead of me. Life, as my t-shirt from Cali says, is good.
Oh, and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]? The St Kilda Inn shirt? Is adorable and I love it, and man are the sizes small. Good thing I did end up with the medium. I'm already advertising our venerable drinking hole. Oh, and you need to do that post about the life as a fanfic character thing too, if you haven't already.
Later, people. Be good. And if you can't be good, be careful. ;)

Date: 2004-07-25 02:05 pm (UTC)Aunty Lea letting you know I'm glad to hear you arrived safe and sound. So, NO your not in the bad books. I bet your Mum and Dad will be so relieved too. Oh, and David of course. That's if he even realises you are in Canada (lol).
Have all the fun; poor old Phil back here on the farm can't have in Canada! He cringes whenever I tell him you are back in Canada AGAIN!
Luv. Aunty Lea.
*mwha!*
Date: 2004-07-27 05:01 am (UTC)And I also had to do the four planes thing. Sydney to Auckland then Auckland to LA and then LA to Washington.
Got stuck beside a strange woman in a hospital mask on the last flight. Was very weird.
