Throat's raw, and not even the usual cure-all of lots of chilli in the form of Tom Yum soup and green veggie curry from the Thai place that delivers free has done much good. And I'm at work, because I'm a silly person and there was a conference on today that I was supposed to go to, but luckily at the 11th hour pathetic croaking and puppy eyes have worked, so I'll be manning the phones and poking idly at revocations.

It's an indication of my dedication that I'm here, you know. Not to work, mind - I have two logs on my work computer for Remy's 11 that need to be posted on my Saturday, and I had to come in to mail them to my home account so I could do that.

Yes, I am a sad person. Or possibly feverish. It's a bit hard to tell.

Oh, finally caught up with my parents. The trip... did not go well. Car trouble and my brother's moving back to Victoria, alone. Gah.

My co-worker Jelly has just given me miso soup in a packet that tastes like the real thing and it's hot and salty and good. I feel a lot better now.

Aww... poor thing! *hugs* Being sick sucks.

I will give you my mother's cure-all recipe, which is horrible but it works.

Grate a good big chunk of ginger.
Cut up four or five cloves of garlic.
Put ginger and garlic in small potful of water, and boil until entire house stinks most foully.
Fill mug from pot. Add juice of one lemon, and at least one big spoonful of honey.
Drink, holding nose.

It smells vile, and doesn't taste much better, but it works very well. ^-^ And for some reason, when you're sick, it tastes better than it does when you're well.
