Sunday morning, 6am
Aug. 14th, 2005 06:05 amIt's far too early to be awake, let alone at work. *yawns* And I was in the middle of some pretty complicated dreams when the alarm went off too. Possibly the plot of the Next Great Alternative Fiction Bestseller, except I got woken up at the crucial bit and now it's mostly gone. Bah. ;)
Rode in today, and yesterday as well. Well, considering I have no car and public transport doesn't start running until around 7 on weekends, there wasn't a lot of choice. Bastard of a headwind, too - I was fighting all the way in, and the reduced speed meant I caught every traffic light it was possible to get along St Kilda Road. Still, it's one hell of a way to make sure you're awake, cold wind blowing in your face.
Things were apparently pretty quiet last night. This is a good thing, after yesterday. There's definitely a family going to want to come in and view someone - that old chestnut of someone dying at a "friend's" house, doing something they aren't supposed to be, so I'll be exercising every last bit of tact I have for that one. *wry* And the twelve year old who was killed skiing at Fall's Creek yesterday still hasn't come in - may not, just depends.
Sarah's coming in at 10, which means four hours on my own. Hmm, need to find something to do...
