Random moments from this week...

My boss asked me specifically to write a finding for a parachuting accident death. The deceased is the daughter of a British consular official, so it needed to be thorough and well-written. And my boss asked me to do it. This does my ego much good. Plus there's the added note that the findings I write come back with very few corrections from the coroners. Good to know the writing experience is useful.

I've noticed people don't know the full details of Canada. Mainly because I forget who I've told what. So, in plain English. Moving to Canada to live for a minimum of two years. Have work visa. No actual job lined up, but contact and three months paid leave to look in.

Today has been declared Lazy Day. Since various bits of me are rather sore. I have, however, packed four boxes (as in sealed up and not to be opened for two years, minimum), gone through my jewellery box and gotten rid of some of the more unfortunate item, and made a start on the bathroom cabinet purging.

I have six people staying with me over next weekend. Much of the happy. The last GASP! (GASP standing for Great Australian Slumber Party) Needless to say I won't be online next weekend - from my Thursday to Tuesday nights, since I have bonus Mel time.

Connected to the leaving and all... I have a wish list should people wish to buy me farewell gifts. This is not by any means an expectation of gifts, but should people want to, the following would be greatly appreciated and actually useful. ;)

Camera case - only a small one, for my digital, but the damn thing keeps turning on in my bag and flattening the batteries. Mut have space for the cable that connects it to the computer.

CD Carry Case - the more CDs it holds, the better - I'm basically taking my CDs out of their cases and transporting them that way. The $12 ones from the Reject Shop are fine. ;)

Socks - laugh all you want, I need thick warm socks desperately. Explorers preferred.

Music - Alex Lloyd come to mind, and Missy Higgins. But quirky Aussie bands/compilations always welcome.

iPod - *snickers* Okay, seriously not asking someone to get me one of these, as much as I'd love one. There's been a few expenses lately and I've had to shelve plans for getting one myself.

Will add as I think of stuff, never fear. ;)

There was something else, but I forget now... Although the 's' key on my keyboard seems to be getting a little twitchy. *wills laptop to last just a few months longer...*
