Twenty questions
Sep. 16th, 2005 10:11 amI'm at work and should be writing a finding on a gunshot death (still working out whether it's suicide or not), but I need a run up to that one. So, a meme. The meme, in fact, du jour.
Write twenty things about yourself, and tag as many people as it took minutes to write.

1) I look nearly ten years younger than I actually am. It amuses me to ask people how old they think I am.
2) I've switched over to using Lynx deodourant because it smells so good and I don't go for girly flowery smells that much.
3) I read in the bath. Sometimes until the water gets too cold to stay in.
4) I quite like living alone and I'm hoping I can still remember how to live with someone else.
5) The older I get, the more I look like my mum. But I still take after my dad.
6) Mr brother's hand is healing nicely and he's back at work.
7) I don't really like dogs that much, beyond silky and Australian terriers. I'm much more a cat person.
8) That being said, I'll never own another cat in Australia. They're too destructive to the native wildlife.
9) I bought two cds and a dvd the other day, despite the fact I have to pack them. But they're all Australian so it's allowed. *g*
10) As much as it's totally draining and depressing sometimes, I love my job.
11) Working at Coroner's has convinced me that suicide is incredibly stupid and selfish and if people knew what they'd look like after stepping in front of a train or hanging themselves, they wouldn't do it.
12) The only caveat to the above is terminal, debilitating illness. And even then you should consider the poor bastard who gets to find you.
13) I've never had such good friends as the ones I have now.
14) I have trouble remembering to stay in touch. Sometimes I'll have these moments of guilt and email people en masse.
15) The best friends are the ones who you can just pick up things where you left them off, be it six days, six weeks or six months ago.
16) Moving all the time as a kid has made me aware of just how temporary some things can be.
17) Will you miss me when you're sober? Which is song lyric quote for sometimes I worry that people will forget me if I'm not in their faces all the time. Commence calling me a doofus.
18) Autumn makes me restless. I always get this urge to go somewhere round about May. If I haven't gone anywhere by August, I'm positively cranky.
19) It's all right to need help, but I'm also stronger than I sometimes give myself credit for.
20) I've got this feeling lately that everything's going to be just fine. It's a little unnerving given the pessimism of the last ten years. I feel like I should take out a lottery ticket.

Got interrupted with a couple of counter inquiries (curse being the closest one to the counter!). Consider yourself tagged if you haven't already been.
