deathpixie: (the great escape)

1) I'm really, really glad I've booked in for a massage on Thursday. My right shoulder's killing me, from a combination of night shift last week (26 hours out of 48 being hunched in front of the computer at my desk), packing and lifting and cleaning, more computer both at work and at home, and sleeping on it funny. No tension headache, but the back of my neck on the right side is so stiff I can barely turn my head. I'm doing that whole body twist thing to look behind me when crossing the road.

2) That being said... Serenity also tomorrow. It's released on the 29th here, and because of the time difference, it means we get it two days before the States. *evil grin* What'll you give me for not spoiling?

(just joking, folks. Wouldn't do that to you, tempting as it is for all the stuff I've had spoiled for me over the years because Australia usually has sucky movie release dates)

3) Gym tonight on the way home. Was going to cycle in, only the forecast is for thunderstorms and buckets o' rain and I'm sick of cleaning my bike chain every time I get caught out. Besides, didn't pack my snorkel.

4) Only a bit more packing to do - shall work on emptying closets tonight. But not for long, since it's [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] discussion night and we need to get this plot moving. *whipcracks*

5) The amount of stuff I'm hauling to the charity shop is truly frightening. I'm cutting stuff way back to the bone - basically if it hasn't been used in the last five years, or is cheap and easily replaced (such as various baskets I use for storage of things like all that miscellaneous crap that lives on top of the 'fridge), it's going. That includes clothing (formal wear excluded - the Slinky Dress (TM) from the last Dexcon I went to is safe. Well, it's in a parcel on its way to Canada. Hopefully it's safe.), since I've been through my stuff twice, and still have a few things mentally earmarked for the bag. The baggy t-shirt collection, mostly.

6) The baggy t-shirt collection stems from when I was with the ex. He often told me I was fat, and I, like a schmuck, believed him. So I used to wear these big baggy shirts to hide my non-existent hugeness. These days, it's all cute little shirts and tank tops, and getting rid of the baggies is actually quite liberating.

Actually there's a midnight tonight showing, so, y'know, I could watch it in... 13 1/2 hours, if I wanted. Only, y'know, already saw it, so.

*snickers a lot. ""*

It's sold out. Or so Darren told me - the Melbourne showing was booked out by the Australian Browncoats association.

WHAT???

Fat? You? In the same sentence? Are you kidding?

There is no way in hell that you were ever fat. None. Whatsoever. Even as a lawyer I could never make the argument... well, you'd have to pay me many millions to make it, at least... :P

My apologies for not talking to you sooner and letting you know, but I think it's going to be too hard to come pick up your cupboard from St Kilda. (And not just because I'm lazy, which you already knew, but because I won't have access to powered rolling machinery much and it looks like I may not have anywhere to put it. [How did I ever acquire so much STUFF??])

I hope that you're okay too - I know I spent half of Saturday in tears. *hugs*

Or at least that's the excuse he gave for not wanting to do that thing consenting couples do. *rolls eyes* Mark all over - rather than accept you have the problem, let's project at someone else!

...

He's insane. TOTALLY insane.

Oh, you can't spoil me - I read the book. ;) But do tell me if you liked it. Given my work schedule, and how far I'm going to have to drive to go see it, I'm not sure when I'll be able to go. (Since it doesn't look like it'll be coming out at either of the two theaters I usually go to.)

Ha! Already seen Serenity. I cannot be spoiled! :P (Unless they changed the ending between the preview and the final version and Simon and Jayne don't have mad hot sex at the end . . . whoops, sorry for the spoiler.)

Er. Going to be online late or not at all, since I'm going to be watching the grading down at the karate club and have an insane amount of Latin and an essay to do. Sorry. Feel free to give everyone power to make executive decisions about George for the big plot. *grins* Just remember that he's a great big wuss and he will freak out if people yell, are violent or crazy at him or bleed at him. ;) Or near him. Or are injured near him. :)

yes, there is. I've got to get logs with him of them poison gassing the baddies. Basically it's Keandre knows his stuff, geroge goes 'ooh, that's going to be kinda deadly because blah', keandre gets george to help him rig that up.

Also, re: tickets. We're actually at crown at 7:30, however tickets were much cheaper than Greater Union ($9, not $14.) Sorry about the Crown bit.

Oh, man. If I didn't hate your ex before, I totally hate him now. How in the world could you have been considered fat?!? You're the antithesis of fat.
