Bits and pieces, part two
Sep. 28th, 2005 09:22 am1) I'm really, really glad I've booked in for a massage on Thursday. My right shoulder's killing me, from a combination of night shift last week (26 hours out of 48 being hunched in front of the computer at my desk), packing and lifting and cleaning, more computer both at work and at home, and sleeping on it funny. No tension headache, but the back of my neck on the right side is so stiff I can barely turn my head. I'm doing that whole body twist thing to look behind me when crossing the road.
2) That being said... Serenity also tomorrow. It's released on the 29th here, and because of the time difference, it means we get it two days before the States. *evil grin* What'll you give me for not spoiling?
(just joking, folks. Wouldn't do that to you, tempting as it is for all the stuff I've had spoiled for me over the years because Australia usually has sucky movie release dates)
3) Gym tonight on the way home. Was going to cycle in, only the forecast is for thunderstorms and buckets o' rain and I'm sick of cleaning my bike chain every time I get caught out. Besides, didn't pack my snorkel.
4) Only a bit more packing to do - shall work on emptying closets tonight. But not for long, since it's [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] discussion night and we need to get this plot moving. *whipcracks*
5) The amount of stuff I'm hauling to the charity shop is truly frightening. I'm cutting stuff way back to the bone - basically if it hasn't been used in the last five years, or is cheap and easily replaced (such as various baskets I use for storage of things like all that miscellaneous crap that lives on top of the 'fridge), it's going. That includes clothing (formal wear excluded - the Slinky Dress (TM) from the last Dexcon I went to is safe. Well, it's in a parcel on its way to Canada. Hopefully it's safe.), since I've been through my stuff twice, and still have a few things mentally earmarked for the bag. The baggy t-shirt collection, mostly.
6) The baggy t-shirt collection stems from when I was with the ex. He often told me I was fat, and I, like a schmuck, believed him. So I used to wear these big baggy shirts to hide my non-existent hugeness. These days, it's all cute little shirts and tank tops, and getting rid of the baggies is actually quite liberating.

Date: 2005-09-28 06:33 am (UTC)WHAT???
Date: 2005-09-28 02:09 am (UTC)There is no way in hell that you were ever fat. None. Whatsoever. Even as a lawyer I could never make the argument... well, you'd have to pay me many millions to make it, at least... :P
My apologies for not talking to you sooner and letting you know, but I think it's going to be too hard to come pick up your cupboard from St Kilda. (And not just because I'm lazy, which you already knew, but because I won't have access to powered rolling machinery much and it looks like I may not have anywhere to put it. [How did I ever acquire so much STUFF??])
I hope that you're okay too - I know I spent half of Saturday in tears. *hugs*

But yes, bye-bye baggy shirts.
And yeah, I'm okay. Not top of the world and stressed out of my head, but okay. *hugs* No sweat on the cupboard - more for St Vinnies.

Date: 2005-09-28 04:05 am (UTC)Oh, you can't spoil me - I read the book. ;) But do tell me if you liked it. Given my work schedule, and how far I'm going to have to drive to go see it, I'm not sure when I'll be able to go. (Since it doesn't look like it'll be coming out at either of the two theaters I usually go to.)

Date: 2005-09-28 07:13 am (UTC)Also, re: tickets. We're actually at crown at 7:30, however tickets were much cheaper than Greater Union ($9, not $14.) Sorry about the Crown bit.
