deathpixie | Progress!

*grins* Well, it's not a lot, but hey, it's upward mobility. Any way, today I got shifted from dishwashing full time to counterhand. And I did pretty well - I'm getting faster at sandwiches and I learned the debit machine (for the Aussies, that's the Eftpos thing). So yeah, faster than I was told, which indicates that I'm picking this up faster than they anticipated. Go me. :)

Dex is laughing at me. *phbbts at him* I know it's not much, but after nine years in the courts, it's sort of refreshing to go back to the basics. And it's only temporary. Which reminds me, need to knock my resume into some sort of shape so I can post it on the job sites.

Other news... We're having a Pretty Night tonight. *grins* Mindy and I decided we needed an opportunity to dress up and go out, but there weren't really any occasions presenting themselves. And then Dex mentioned he was craving Big Daddy's, and two and two became four - we're dragging Johnny along as well. On the condition he wears the red velvet jacket. So yeah, gym first (the three of us have been pretty good with the going regularly, doing our weights three days a week and cardio in between) and then showering and cleaning up and looking nice.

I just have to decide what to wear, given it's snowing again outside. Big fluffy flakes that make you cough if you breathe them in.
