I have socks! Many many socks, since not one but two parcels just arrived. Thank you so much to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] for taking pity on my sockless state and sending me many. Also thanks to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] for mailing Raph's parcel for her.

I also have chocolate and Natural Confectionary Company squirms. Yum, sour candy. :) I, alas, do not have Vegemite - the jar rather thoroughly broke in tranist. Woe. But still... socks! Cute socks and warm Explorer socks and socks I can wear for job interviews and socks with butterflies that are just mind-boggling. ;)

Dangit, I thought I wrapped that jar rather securely in the socks. I didn't think it'd break unless someone dropped something on the box.

And man, you should SEE the customs forms I had to fill out to mail that sucker. Not to mention the postal inspector going "And just WHAT is Vegemite?"

Ah, civil servants.

Genuine Australian Vegemite is almost surely available in Toronto, since I can get it at the local Loblaws here. The thought of Vegemite oozing through a entire of box of books and socks is deeply disturbing. It would probably be impossible to contain, and would ooze out and thinly coat every surface of the plane or truck used to carry the package to its destination...

Oh yay! They arrived! I was so worried -- I tried to send a box to Melly when she was here and found them on my doorstep some six months later. (Sarah + Post Office != OTP)

I found the butterfly ones weirdly appealing. Emphasis on the weird, though. ;)

Buggerit! However, all is not lost. You can order vegemite from America.
