Push coming to shove

I was supposed to be working 8-2 today, but instead, as I'm sitting down to take the half hour meal break I'm entitled to for working over six hours, Chang comes up to me and tells me that I'm only on until 12 instead. So sorry, forgot to tell me. This on top of him having a go at me for chatting to people whilst doing the dishes at the same time. They've been riding my back for a week now, and cutting my hours back to the point where I can't actually live on the wage, so that's it. One more week and them I'm out, either talking to Mindy about the customer service job at her bank job (answering phone enquiries about credit cards), or one of the other restaurants/bars around. The Kiwi Kick was hiring not so long ago, and the Aussie accent should help with the lack of bar experience. And there's always next Wednesday's option which I'm still not talking about since I don't want to get all excited and then get shot down again. The ego can't handle it.

Either way, next week's my last week at Bread and Roses. And they can kiss my butt.

This is a reallyreally stupid question, but do you know about workopolis.com and workopoliscampus.com?

Workopolis.com is a little scary, but the campus version (I'm not sure if you actually have to be going to school to use it, but if so, I'll lend you my account) is really sweet.

Workopolis and Monster are my job sites du jour. I actually like Workopolis, although I've found it helps to have two different saved searches rather than try and get everything under one. And the 'not' category doesn't work very well. As in, at all. So I just skip past the solicitor jobs.

Workopoliscampus I hadn't tried... I'll have a look, see if there's anything there for me. Thanks for the pointer. :)

Hey, they do really good soup and stuff and most of the people are great. Just the bosses have decided it's "Pick on Jo" week and to quote Leathal Weapon, "I'm too old for this crap". There's plenty of jobs around here I can walk into off the street, and they're not paying me enough to put up with this.

Also, I suck in immense ways, and still owe you a check. I have just now written it and put it in an envelope, and will stop by post office on the morrow to get Canada stamp for it.

Forgive me, I've been behind on everything real life related, b/c I'm so behind/stressed/dead at work!
