So. Very. Tired.

But! It's been a hugely productive day, more productive than our weekends have been in quiet a while. :)

Not only does [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] have enough furniture being delivered from Ikea tomorrow for her to set up her new apartment (which I saw today and it's gorgeous. So very jealous. *grins*) but [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I spent an allocated amount of money each on setting up the patio. We now have a charcoal burning BBQ, several fold-out chairs and three planter boxes full of herbs along the railing, plus a nice big terracotta pot and a trellis with tomatoes and hopefully snow peas (once they germinate and grow) in it. Oh, and we also have curtain/blinds for the bedrooms and living room, which means no more floorshow when I get dressed/undressed. ;)

We're all exhausted (all being the three of us and Lise's mum who rented a car for the sole purpose of getting all this done, but man does it feel good to look around the patio (I'm guarding the BBQ at the moment whilst Dex gets the food to cook on it ready) and instead of the mosquito-infested swamp of previous years we have decking and what's going to be a very pleasant place on summer evenings.

But yeah, glad to just stop for a while.

Oh, sweetie. That sounds so... homey. Not that we get to go into our backyard as often as we'd like, with the mosquitoes (provincial bird, them) but my mum has it done up really beautifully; plants just add a quality.

*grins* Photos tomorrow, when it's nice and sunny and you can see things properly. :) But yeah, I think that's part of why I'm feeling so happy about it. Having plants is one of those permanent sort of things to do, even if they're just in pots. ;) But yeah, making my mark and all.
