Voice from beyond the grave!

Yeah, it's been a while between entries. Mostly on account of me being insane crazy busy, between work, early Dexcon arrivals, RPG stuff and Life in General.

And of course, now I'm sitting myself down with time to write more than two lines, I can't think of a damn thing to say. *wry*

Work is going well. I still have no idea whether my contract will be extended at the end of July, but here's hoping it is. Everyone still seems pretty pleased with me, although there were a couple of errors last week caused by sleep deprivation. Which means I'm just going to have to be a bit more stringent about getting to bed even with an apartment full of people. Fortunately, I have an iPod and I'm not afraid to use it as a form of earplugs! I also have earplugs, although I'm not wanting to sleep through my alarm.

The Great Balance and Hearing Test at the hospital tomorrow. No booze for 48 hours beforehand, which means I was drinking Coke at the pub last night whilst watching the band. Unfortunately it has the side effect of making me too wired to sleep. :P But the vertigo is improving, with only occasional bouts when I'm really tired, really dehydrated or really stressed.

Guitar tonight. Yay!

And on the people front... Sascha went to Seattle yesterday (congrats on the school news, btw!), Phil's off to Montreal today and Dex is heading to San Diego tomorrow. Which means I get about five days to myself in which to sleep, clean, practice guitar, establish some kind of gym routine (easier when you're not accomodating other people) and generally decompress. I also get to go see the Jays-Yankees baseball game on Sunday, although it looks like I'll be doing that on my own since I can't find anyone who has the time to go. *pouts* Still, I'm a big girl and Dex has been teaching me how the game is played so I won't be completely clueless.

Hmm, what else...? Nope, I think that's pretty much it.I still need to sort out my tax return and internet banking from my Canadian account so I can pay off my credit card, but that's what this upcoming week is for. And I need to go to the Flight Centre and see if it's possible to book an Australia-Canada flight here, since I need to come back after my brother's wedding. Again, when it's quieter.

Given I've just realised people start turning up here next Wednesday (which is also the day Dex gets back from San Diego), I think I'll be cleaning like a mad cleaning thing this weekend. Plus, laundry, haircut, gluing the floor down, go to the doctor and get a new script for the pill, all those things that I've put off. *meeps* Which is my way of saying... after Dexcon? *brainmelts*
