Or at least SLEET!

I just got back from lunch (yes, late lunch, I blame the files), and on the way back got sleeted on. It's freezing out there too - I've got my ultra-long wool coat, but I'm very much wishing I'd worn something longer than the miniskirt today...

Snow, sleet, yes yes, very cold.

Tell us more of this "miniskirt".

The Australian seems to have gone native if she can wear that while there's cold stuff coming out of the sky at her.

I think it was 36 yesterday and we had one girl pass out in the theatre watching our show and another one down with heatstroke.

In an amusing contrast, we hit thirty-six degrees yesterday afternoon.

Thirty-six degrees.

In October...

You know we'll have a cool change if you do that. :)

Heh;) Exactly. Melbourne this time of year - bring everything and be prepared for the worst.

'Course, if the weather's bad, we can always just sit in the pub. See if Matt & Paul are still doing the Elephant of a Sunday...

*nods* There is that. There's also, and I have no idea if people are up for it, dinner at my place one night? Since I happen to believe that my house is the coolest house ever and I'm told that the Queit Man down the road in Flemington is a very good pub.

Fair enough. So the plan is for us to point you in various directions and say 'sit here for there is beer?' I reckon we can do that. I'll see what anyone else who isn't Phil thinks and organise it.

Sounds good to me - maybe go for the Friday night? Since it *is* a really cool house ;)

Sure. I'll clear it with Amanda - will she be around on the Friday? - and go from there. :)

I know! I got sleeted on as I was waiting for the bus. AND I was only wearing my red coat, so I was FREEZING. Stupid Canada.

We've had solid snow (as in, snow that sticks) for a couple days now, though, it's pondering going away tomorrow. Windy as HELL but at least it's the nice kind of snowy weather; sunny and whatnot.

The warehouse has leaks, though, so it sounds like it's haunted. This I learned while turning out the lights/machines in the back and running for my life.

...I demand pictures of this Jo plus miniskirt. Minerawr!

Snow! *approves of this white stuff that comes out of the sky. Believes that Australia should get some of it.*

Awww, poor chilled Jo... *offers warm hugs and hot chocolate* (Well, as long as you keep all that cold weather up north where it belongs... *lol*)

And here today we got the first day of a three day heat wave...and they've now admitted that Australia is in the grip of the worst drought ever to hit this country in recorded history. *grins* In other words, bring some of the sleet and rain with you?

On one hand, I'm happy about this. I like snow (so far) and it's cool when it's all snowy and pretty and whatnot.

OTOH, I really need to clear some stuff away from my radiator and that's a project that I STILL haven't done yet. *sobs* I need a handyman or a helper, stat.
