Dear anonymous
Jun. 26th, 2007 12:33 pmDear Anonymous Person who asked here if going to the Pride march (or intending to - Act of Hangover laid me very low for most of the day) meant I was gay now.
If you're not my ex, then no, it doesn't. You don't have to be gay to support people's right to have a relationship with whoever they choose.
If you're my ex, then yes. You made me gay. Now bugger off.

Date: 2007-06-26 05:25 pm (UTC)When I was at college, there were always people out on the campus quad trying to recruit passers-by for various things. One group that was always out there every quarter was the campus blood drive organization, who would try to get people to sign up to donate blood.
So I was walking by, minding my own business, when this guy flags me down and gives me the spiel about donating. Normally I love donating blood and I do it regularly, but I had been on a trip to Mexico over Spring Break in a malaria zone and as such was prohibited from giving blood for a certain amount of time. Rather than explain that to him, I merely smiled and said "Thanks, but I can't." His eyes got really wide and he leaned in close and in a very low voice asked "Is it because you're gay?"
"I don't even know where to start correcting you," I said, and walked off.
