deathpixieNow I have time to breathe for five minutes, at least until I start on this factum we're trying to get done by today: I GOT PAID TODAY!!!
Usually not a big deal, but since I haven't been paid since September 27 and rent took all of that one, an incredible weight has been lifted from my shoulders. And perfect timing too - I had $40 left on the overdraft of doom.
Of course, the temptation now is to go out and splurge, but I'll need to budget so I have enough to cover various things. What I will be doing is having a haircut somewhere reasonable, since my hair is in desperate need of shaping. And I need to get hair dye for Halloween, since I'm borrowing Mindy's "Autumn" constume and figure a nice terracotta will go well.
You may have noticed a distinct lack of me online this week. That's because work has been insane. Four lawyers are much more work than two, I can tell you. *wry* And I have another three weeks of this before Esther comes back, wah.
Trial preparation has been done, just this factum and couriering Jane's files to her (since she's sick and didn't come in today) to go. But lunch first, I think. I'm starving.
