This is getting really old...

I had thought I was on the mend with this 'flu, but apparently I incurred the Wrath of the Virus by daring to make a doctor's appointment yesterday, and this morning I coughed until I threw up. Fortunately, this was before any food consumption and there wasn't anything to actually throw up, given the roomie was in the bathroom, but after ten minutes of leaning over the kitchen sink alternately coughing and gagging, I've managed to down some of my cough syrup and yes, wait for it, I've called in.

*sigh* Another day's pay lost, with tomorrow's potentially gone too. This thing has eaten a week of my life.

So, now I'm on the couch, waiting for my stomach to settle so I can have some juice - strangely enough, after all that drama, I'm feeling a bit nauseous. *wry*

*nods* Yep. Took my cough syrup, took a Zantac for the nausea, and now I have juice and egg on toast, nice and bland. Miso for later.

Also, have you possibly considered going to 'my' walk-in today, since you're home anyway? Once the the drugs kick in and you feel less like death. I know, am pesky, but I fret.

I've got the appointment already at mine, and I need prescriptions from my family doctor, so I'll have to go anyway. Cough's settling down now from the syrup, and I think I'll just nap a lot and try and just chill - it's entirely possible I've been stressing out too much, which is why things are malingering.

Oh! I'm sorry, I was unaware you had a family doctor and needed your prescriptions from them. Lack of listening on my part, bad Aisy.
