So, I come home, already half an hour late because of Acts of Alvin - four tapes, all this afternoon, including a motion and accompanying affidavit. I have to wash my bedding, because it reeks of cat pee. What do I find? A nice fresh patch of cat pee on the bed.

Fucking like bastards.

Noses were literally rubbed in it (mum's trick from housetraining cats), but if anyone has hints on why nine month old neutered cats would suddenly start peeing on things, and how to stop it, I'm all ears. Because if this keeps up, they're going to the Humane Society, I swear.

Might sound weird, but... do you have something else to put on top of your bed? A blanket or something? I keep a thin blanket over my bed because a couple of years ago, for some reason, my cat decided my comforter was a lovely place to use the facilities. He doesn't feel the same way about the thin blanket, so my bed has remained safe. Of course, your cats could be different and then you'd have something else you'd need to wash.

Actually, you might have something there. I had to use different blankets on my bed last night as my duvet was still drying (we have a high demand on our laundry facilities, so I hung it in my room to finish off), and there was no repeat incident. Although that might have been because I was in the bed, and they were happy to spend the second half of the night curled up with me. I've closed the door today, and I'll try opening it tonight and seeing what they get up to.
