Vegemite Toast: This was the result of a comics fandom joke - at one stage it seemed that because the Aussie/Kiwi ficcers were a pretty close-knit group, people assumed we were some kind of hive-mind, always agreeing with each other. Instead of wank, we made an icon, and all of us posted it at exactly the same time, with the slogan "We are the Australian Ficcers. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. Bring Beer." I use it when I'm being either a) Australian, b) fanficcery, or c) both.
Internet Police: I grabbed this off [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] on [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. I can't remember which movie the screencap's from, but the French says "The Internet is serious business". To me, that just sums up the silliness of things. I like to use it to remind people of Pretendy Funtime Games.
Passive Aggressive Fork: Stemming from a conversation with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] about passive aggressive people and how sometimes you want to poke them with a fork. Except then your fork has passive-aggressive on it and might contaminate the rest of the cutlery in the drawer, and then where would you be? *grins* We have some odd conversations. And some of them turn into icons. Again for Pretendy Funtime Games. Silliness helps keep perspective.
The Morning After: Cruising around on [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], I found this one and grabbed it because it sums up so well some of my mornings, especially after Band or Roomie Bonding Night.
Words on the Wall: This is an icon made from one of [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s photographs, on his [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] photoblog. XP people will recognise it as my Red X/mutant rights icon. I like to use it for reminding people we are all the same, under the skin. One of my politically-active icons.

Who Am I?: Ah, the eternal question. I loved this episode of Angel, where Faith has to chose who she is to be, the monster or the human being. I tend to use this as a therapy icon, or for when things are hard - sometimes it's hard to know who I am.
Never Give In: Another Buffy icon, from the same person who did the "Who Am I?" one, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. Another favourite scene, from the episode with the invisible girl, which really showed Buffy starting to really trust herself and her powers. It's my icon for when I want to encourage that same trust in myself, or for others.
Butt monkeys: I'm not sure where I found this one, although the lack of citing someone means it's probably one I made. I like the expression "And monkeys might fly out of my butt", and this was pretty close. I use it for just general absurdity.
Source of my special powers: The quote's from Mythbusters, a show I adored. I like using this one for geek-type responses, and sometimes for when I just rock. ;)
OMG TEH DRAMA!: Pretty much self-explanatory. *grins* I found myself in need of an internet drama icon, and this is the one I found on [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. The kitty reminds me of Spike a bit.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps: Another [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] find, I needed more guitar icons. And I adore the song, especially the Across The Universe version. One day, I'll be able to play that. Maybe. ;)
Afraid Of Love: Perhaps a little melodramatic, but this sums me up pretty much sometimes when it comes to trusting others. I want it badly, but I'm terrified of losing another 10 years through crappy choices.
Source of My Special Powers: already done above, for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com].
Mountains/Moment of Stillness: Once, flying from Toronto to Vancouver, I looked down and saw mountains like this. Coming from a relatively flat country as I do, it blew my mind. When I saw the icon on iconaddicts, I had to have it. I use it for when I feel or want to instill calm.
Drenched in Moonlight: Another of of [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s photos. The icon doesn't do the original image justice, but there was just something about the play of light and shadow in this one I just loved. Another 'calm' icon.

Falafel: A screenshot (one of the very few) from one of my favourite movies He Died With A Falafel In His Hand, a quirky Australian movie about share housing in Australia in the 80s. I use this one for talking about roommates, about Australia, or when I just want to ogle Noah Taylor.
Climbing: I used to rock climb. I don't so much any more, which is a shame - one day I'd like to get back into it. The icon's for that, and for making progress in a difficult endeavour.
Mountains: Answered above for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Not All There: It's the Ninth Doctor, played by Christopher Eccelestone. I've always loved the eccentricity of Doctor Who, the fact the main character seems slightly insane at the best of times. The keyword's from Firefly, where Jayne describes River as "not all there". I use it for when I'm being silly and a bit goofy.
Princess: At one point, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] went through a stage of calling me "Princess" on my journal. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] decided the response needed to be in icon form. :)

Setting of the sun: One of the many [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] icons. I've always loved sunsets, and the colours in this icon are just gorgeous. This one's for calm, for endings, and for nostalgia.
Emily: I was introduced to Emily The Strange by [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who looks disturbingly like her at times. The whole combination of cute and cynicism is just wonderful. This is one of my "I'm not impressed" or just general geekiness icons.
Pissing in the Fountain of Truth: The quote's from Practhett's The Truth, and I like to use this one for politics and the like. And for when I think people are being dumb.
Blue Black Sky: The quote is from a David Bridie song, Blue Black Sky. It's a sad song, and the expression always evoked lowering storm clouds to me, the sort where the sky looks like a bruise. It's a 'bad day' icon - usually if it shows up, I'm not a happy camper.
Yeah right. Joanna from the movie version of Rent. I love the expression on her face, that whole "yeah, you're talking shit, but I'm going to let you finish before telling you so".

In jokes: Another [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] icon, this time about the silly icons that we do out of conversations - actually, it might have been prompted by the last time this meme did the rounds. In the course of conversation, I came up with the slogan. Jen promptly iconned it. I use it when I'm being tongue in cheek.
Not all there: Answered above for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
The band on every corner: My boys, The Whitlams. The keywords come from a song of theirs, "Band On Every Corner. I get frustrated with my Graphics Converter because I can't work out how to put text on icons - this would be one of the ones I would want text on, so I can advertise the band far and wide. I use it talking about music and Australia.
You can't take the sky from me: I have a lot of Firefly icons, mostly because I adore the show so much. This is one of my favourites, because it's very much encapsulates the spirit of the show. And the spirit of people. I used it a lot of [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] OOC chat, but it's also my "fighting" icon.
