Since I'm finding myself rather bored, needing to keep myself awake, and wanting to flex the writing brain a little... Grabbed from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who got it from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com].

He'd gotten wind of a demon racket, harvesting souls in the guise of some kind of competition. And like the busybody he was, he had to investigate. It hadn't been quite what he'd expected, but with some fast talking and some calling in of favours, he was ready to deal with the problem. Glancing at where his equipment lay ready, he narrowed his eyes at his foe.

"Right sunshine, let's get this happening," he muttered. His opposition smiled, and spread his arms flamboyantly wide, borrowed face smiling too widely for a human.

"~And tonight's secret ingredient is... live squid!~" he proclaimed in Japanese.

"Bollocks."

John hated seafood.

I am SO GLAD I put my tea mug down before I read this, otherwise I'd have a whole lot of green tea up my nose.

*grins* You ever see the Japanese version of Iron Chef? They used to have this bit at the start where the "souls of the losing chefs will be imprisoned forever, bwahahaha!" First time I saw it, I knew I had to do the crossover some day. ;)

I love the Japanese version even more than I do the American version.
