deathpixie: (I'm not wearing any pants)

So, instead of going home tonight, I went shopping at the Eaton Center for some much-needed underwear and two pairs of new bras (since my black one is AWOL and my white one is dying), plus a pair of PJ pants since my last set died last winter and I like to have something to curl up on the couch in.

Then I went to Queen Street, got sushi, and went to see 9, which was rather good. Not earth-shattering - I think I read a review somewhere which mentioned the story isn't anything ground-breaking and I tend to agree - but it's a good solid hero quest with some truly amazing animation. Gorgeous to watch, definitely.

Bed for me now and then finally Friday. I have a veritable tonne of filing to do, plus library inventory, however I've done the motion that's been plaguing me all week so that's a plus. Clean up day for me tomorrow, in more ways than one. However, that is tomorrow, and sleep calls. I go to my bed - I recommend everyone for whom it is bedtime do the same.

9's animation was awesome (and I think it should be seen on the bigscreen just so you get the benefit of Apocalypse In Surround), and the creatures were just GAH. I did feel the same about the story, though. I really would have liked more focus on the characters as well, even though (especially since?) there turned out to only be 2 . . . or possibly even only 1, depending on how you defined the Machine. While I wasn't impressed by the ending, it definitely gets special points for involving homunculi.
